What is this?
Let's take advantage of this gorgeous fall weather and go for a ride!
Let's meet at the Barnes & Noble parking lot in Bend, this coming Sunday, Sept 26th. Kickstands up at 09:30.
Our route will take us out through Alfalfa and along one of our favorite Central Oregon routes, the Crooked River Gorge. We'll take the back route through Prineville and then Hwy 380 to the geographic center of Oregon, Post. Yes, there is actually a post there to mark the spot. Does one of the famous meatloaf sandwiches from the Post General Store sound good to you? I tried their potato salad and it was really good! They've got plenty of outdoor seating at picnic tables.
After lunch, we'll saddle up and find some nice curves on the way home, probably passing by Smith Rock, Cline Falls, and Twin Bridges. There will be opportunity to gas up as we come back through Prineville. This is a paved route, but there are opportunities for you to break off on a GS route after lunch.
