Riders and Pillions:
First things first...I hope this finds you, like me, emerging happily from a new year's celebratory fog.
Now, the news. It's a new year, and
WE. MUST. RIDE. Last year, the
elements got the best of us; this year, the odds are on our side. Join us as we take full advantage, zipping from one side of the Tualatin Valley to the other. Temps should be comfortably above freezing...still, we'll do our best to stay in the sun and enjoy dry pavement. We'll pop onto I-5 to cross the river, then scoot over to Newberg, (where a surprise is in store!). Next, we'll head northwest, taking a quick lap around Hagg Lake (hey, why not?). Lunch is at
Yellow Llama, a cool new Peruvian restaurant in downtown Forest Grove.
After lunch is a quick run through West Union, then a wave goodbye and head home.
Weather? Looks like a better-than-even chance of dry. Football fan? You'll be home before halftime of the Titans/Chiefs game and the Falcons/Rams don't kick off until 5.
Now that I've taken care of the excuses, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday (that's this Saturday, January 6th - some of you may be groggier than others). Doors open at BMW of Western Oregon at 8:30am, clutches out at 9:45. Make sure you're gassed up; there's no fuel until lunch, about 70 miles into the ride. Shoot me an email if you're planning to come (or just show up); don't hesitate to contact me with questions.
Look forward to seeing you on Saturday,
David W. Peterson
