This "Tour" is based on a collection of Oregon‘s covered bridges. The adventure is simple.
Download the "2021 BMWRO COVERED BRIDGE TOUR" file in our website documents tab or chose to have a booklet mailed to your address. Ride your motorcycle to each site. Get a (combined) picture of you, your motorcycle, and the specific bridge. Attach that picture to the matching bridge page included in the download/booklet. Do this for 20 of the bridges listed and you can win fabulous prizes at the 2021 BMWRO NOVEMBER BEACH BASH. Need not be present to win. You can mail this, postmarked by October 22nd, to (Kim Dorsing 5509 NW 141st Circle Vancouver, WA 98685) or bring to the BEACH BASH Meeting in November. You may also post your completed picture file to the BMWRO Facebook page with your name, descriptions, and dates. You will be entered in the random drawing at the end of the meeting. Please sign up, pay your fee, have fun, and be safe!!

We are planning a special return trip to Cowboy Dinner Tree near Silver Lake. This was really popular when we did it last year. We’ll have two ride options available - Alice will lead a paved route ride on back roads to LaPine where we'll turn onto Highway 31. Brad Stark will lead a longer, dirtier ride for the GS-inclined folks that will involve gravel, chunky asphalt and barely paved roads through Winema-Fremont National Forest. Details as we get closer...
A few things about Cowboy Dinner Tree - This wonderfully bizarre place is one of the most real and unique Wild West eating experiences in Oregon. When we confirm your reservation, you must choose between a whole spit-roasted chicken or a 26 to 30 oz grilled sirloin steak. No sharing allowed but doggie bags are provided so leave room in a pannier. It's all served family style with bowls of salad, soup, dinner rolls, baked potatoes and a dessert (we strongly suggest skipping lunch that day). They accept Cash only - $45 per person (not including tip) and no alcohol is served or allowed. We have reservations for the 4pm dinner seating.

Brad Stark is coordinating this ride so please direct any questions to him by email at sunriverguy@gmail.com and register early as space is limited to only 12 of us. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this event. Registration is external from this website. Contact Brad at the above email.

THE BIG ONE IS BACK
We‘ve reserved a group campsite near Waldport with Canal Creek running alongside the campsite. You can arrive as early as Sunday and stay as many nights as you like until departure Thursday. We‘ve got plenty of room for tents on a huge grassy area.
There are both well paved roads and dual sport riding in this area. There are two nice pit toilet type restrooms but no water. We will have some drinking and cooking water available from a local spring. At this time, no dinners are planned, so it’s each to their own for meals. A big covered pavilion with tables available to food prep etc. The Club grill will be available and some ice coolers for community use.
Nearby there are several good restaurants, gas, and a full-service store 10 miles away in Waldport. Many Covered Bridges are day ride accessible from this location.
There is space for 2-3 small RVs just across the ford in the campsite. Must be less than 30‘ length with no hookups (large trailers and motor homes are not recommended). Please check with Keith Matteson if you are planning to bring an RV.
