A WORD ABOUT FOOD

Its been said by many that one of the reasons they appreciate this event is they know the food will be good.

Morning Coffee is provided at no cost from 6a-9a Friday through Sunday and staffed by club volunteers. In addition Log Cabin Espresso will be on site offering fresh brewed coffee and espresso drinks.  Some of us are very particular about our espresso and their shots are excellent.  They also provides breakfast hand style foods and a selection of pastries to go with your coffee.

Should you be a big breakfast person, below is a list of options:

Outpost Restaurant, 201 Main, John Day--0.3 miles from the main gate.

Timbers Bistro, 742 Main, John Day--0.7 miles from the main gate.

Dayville Cafe31 miles west on Hwy 26

Juniper Room Breakfast, 112 Front St. Prairie City13 miles

Austin House31 miles east on Hwy 26

Dinners both Friday and Saturday are again provided by Juniper Cookhouse. Its not easy to make a nice dinner for a large crowd but this is their specialty. Consider what comes to mind when you reminisce of fresh home style cooking and this is the type of dinners they prepare.  Its wonderful.  The main course on Friday will be pulled pork and on Saturday will be tri-tip.
